トリンシック市街地に存在していた奇妙な設置物。その秘密を知る歴史家を探し、ブリタニア全土を旅した。そして、歴史家の知識を得られたのは辺境の図書館においてだった。
歴史家と言えば研究施設である図書館が頭に浮かぶのだが、ブリタニアには意外に図書館が多い。ムーングロウ北にある最大の研究施設ライキュームをはじめ、各地に存在しているのだ。この歴史家の捜索が最も過酷なものであったかもしれない。何故なら当の歴史家の痕跡が残されていたのは、辺境の島にあったのだから・・・。
辺境の街オクローに痕跡はあった。この図書館に探し求めてきた歴史家の手記が残されていたのだ。何故、オクローが辺境か？ブリタニアではムーンゲートで接続されていない都市もあるのだが、このオクローは現状でムーンゲート接続されていない唯一の街だ。したがって、この街へやってくるのは困難を極める事となる。
本棚の中に問題の手記が発見された。既に歴史家は過去の人となっていたようだが、手記に重要な手掛かりが残されていたのだ。
題名：ザカリア回想録

私がこの世を去る前に、長年私が恥じてきた出来事について胸のうちを明かしておこう。多くの方々が知っている通り、私はトリンシックやニュジェルム、ユー刑務所等の最初の都市建設に携わった労働者のひとりだった。しかしながら我が人生の中で最も無遠慮なモノたちのもとで働かなければならなかったという事は知らないだろう。
トリンシックで共に働いたその男の名は忘れてしまったが、最悪の男だった。奴は秘密の通路のようなものに魅入られていて、都市を囲む城壁内部にそういった通路を作ってしまったのだ。建築労働者たちがあれが何なのかに関して互いに話し始めると、奴は他の人間がその事に気付く事を恐れた。
ある日、奴は私に、通路接続を行っていた魔道師が来週までは大きな区画を完成させる事ができなさそうだと伝えてきた。しかしながら、奴は早急に通路を完成させたかったのだ。奴は数時間そこで監視していたが、労働者達にここを終えたら、別の出口がある場所へ向かうよう指示した。しかしながら、我々はその後魔道師が無数のファイアーフィールドでその出口を塞ぐこととなっていたと知った。そのファイアーフィールドが燃え尽きるには何年もかかる事だろう。
その入口は未だに存在しているのは判っているが、私は恥じて戻る事もできず、人々がその存在を知っているのかどうかも知らずにいる。もしあの行方不明となった労働者たちの辿った運命を知りたい者が居れば、魔法のオクラルにむかい「Apprendar」と唱えねばならぬだろう。

これが乞食の言っていた合言葉なのだろう。
・・・それにしても乞食がよくこんな事を知っていたな。
まさか労働者の生き残りのひとりなのだろうか・・・？
ともかく、謎のひとつが解けた！
私は再び謎に包まれしトリンシックへと戻る事を決意したのである。
・・・しんどいよ。
Before I leave this life and go into what lays beyond,I wish to get some thigs off my chest about the events that brought me shame so many years ago. Many know I was one of the original construction workers that helped build some of our cities,mainly Trinsic, Njel'm, and the Yew Jails. What many don't know is I had to work for some of the most unscrupulous men of my time.
I forget the man's name I worked with in Trinsic, but he was by far the worst. He had a fascination with secret tunnels and the like, and he build a wall around and within the entire city and planned on such tunnels. He was worried though that others would find out about them, as the Construction workers started to talk about them with each other and wondered what they were for.
One day he told me that the mages that were connecting the tunnels were not going to be able to complete a large section till next week, but he wanted the tunnel finished right away. He oversaw the last few hours there, and he told the workers to finish up this end and go back to where the other exit was located - we learned later the mages blocked the exit with multiple fire fields, which would take years to burn out.
I do know that the entrance to those tunnels still exits, and I was too ashamed to go back and see if the men ever made it out. If anyone would ever wish to investigate the fates of those lost they but only have to mutter the word "Apprendar" to the magical Oracle.
