EA社及びその従業員が昨年末アジアで発生した津波被害に対し25万ドルの支援金をユニセフに寄付する事を明らかになりました。
EA社はユニセフ南アジア津波救済基金に対し25万ドル（米）を支援する事にした。
EA社は更に従業員個々人が救済に関連する慈善団体に対して個人的な寄贈を行う事を可能にすべく寄贈規約の拡張を行うはずだ。その後個々人の寄付金はユニセフ南アジア救済基金あるいはアメリカ国際赤十字基金へ全額振り込まれるでしょう。
証明に関する潜在的問題に起因してウルティマ オンラインのプレイヤーから寄付を募る事はできません。しかしながら、ウルティマ オンラインコミュニティから寄せられる同情的な声に我々は非常に感動させられているよ。我々は皆さんの声に答えれた事を誇りに思っています。
EA will also be expanding our current Employee Matching Gift Program to allow any employee in the company to donate personally to qualified charitable organizations related to support of the tragedy. Those individual donations will then be matched 100% by EA to either the UNICEF South Asian Tsunami Relief Fund or the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
We can’t commit to matching UO player contributions due to potential problems with verification. However, we are extremely moved at the compassionate and generous response of the UO community. We’re proud to serve you.
