質問）
私はイビルアイテム販売と同時に購入し、全セットを所有しているのだが、www.uo.com/evilitems.htmlを閲覧して疑問が生まれた。
そこにはこう記載されてあった。
「これは価値あるものを邪神に捧げる祭壇だが、更には素晴らしいゴミ処分装置ですらある。アイテムを祭壇に捧げれば、炎が立ち上り祭壇上のものを焼き尽くすだろう」
さて、私の祭壇はというとそのような炎は立ち上がる事なく、ただ3分後に悲鳴が轟くだけである。炎が立ち上る祭壇があるのだろうか？炎が立ち上る祭壇と悲鳴ばかりが聞こえる祭壇とがあるのだろうか？あるいは私の祭壇が何らかの不具合を抱えているのだろうか？

UOGameCodes.Com上では祭壇に関してそれとは異なる記述があるよ。

どのような文言を口にすれば良いのだろうか？
恐らく我々が未だ知り得ぬ文言なのだろう。

イビルアイテムにはイースターエッグ機能が用意されているんだ。尤も今回指摘されたものはそのイースターエッグではないけどね。
我々は当初、祭壇上にアイテムが置かれた際は指摘にもある通り直ちに黒い炎が立ち上りアイテムを消滅させてしまうよう設計していたんだ。しかしながら、ゲームマスターたちが誤って消すつもりの無いアイテムまで消滅させてしまうプレイヤーが現れる事を危惧していた為、従来のゴミ箱と同様の機能とせざるを得なかった。呪文に関してだが、これは少々文学的な言い回しだったね。もし実際に何らかの文言をキーワードとしていたら無駄にストレージを使う羽目になっていただろう。誰か友人がその言葉を口にするまでは消える事がないのだからね。
it states and i quote,
"This is not only the perfect altar for sacrificing valuables to the dark gods, it’s also a wonderful trash disposal unit. Whenever you put an item on the altar, a flame rises and consumes whatever is upon it."
now mine does no such thing all it does after 3 min is screem.
is there suspose to be flames?
Does some have one that flames or does all just screem?

Have they said what the incantation is supposed to be? Maybe we just don't know it yet!
There *is* an easter egg with the evil items, but that's not it.
We originally had the altar immediately delete items when dropped on it, with the aforementioned black flames. The GMs were concerned that that would lead to people accidentally deleting things they didn't want to, so we were obliged to make it work like the trashcan.
As for the incantation, it was a bit of artistic license. If we literally did it with a speech trigger, people would use it for extra storage . . . until their friend came along and uttered the magic words . . .
