グレートレイクスの文献「A Poison Golem」の紹介です。

これは幽霊フィナルフィンの蘇生に要する秘薬捜索は疫病蛙の脚、古代鶴の脚に続きポイズンゴーレムの核である事が判り、イルシェナーへと向かったロイヤルガードの戦記だ。だが、肝心の術式が記載された巻物を老婆イヌに盗まれてしまうといった事件も記載されている。これは「「Grizelda Wins」」の続編と思われる。
「ポイズンゴーレム」

フィナルフィンの蘇生呪文に要する次なる秘薬はポイズンゴーレムの核（コア）であった。ロイヤルガードにこの事を伝えたとき、彼らの中からは含み笑いすら漏れ聞こえたほどだ。「ゴーレムという存在はあらゆる毒に免疫を備えているのですよ、セバスチャン」とね。しかしながらロイヤルガード諸君は大きな見誤りをしているのだ。私は彼らにポイズンゴーレムを見つけ出せるやもしれないと伝えようとしたが、その声は老婆イヌによって阻まれてしまった。老婆イヌは自らを支持する者たちが少なく、むしろ魔女グリゼルダに好感を寄せる者が大勢を占めてしまった事に狼狽を隠せずにいるようだった。私は浴びせられる非難を幾許かでも許容せねばなるまい。私が徳之諸島の自然に博識な老婆イヌを招聘したにも関わらず、古代鶴の処遇により人道的なアプローチを提示した魔女グリゼルダの案を我々は採用したのだからね。
私は老婆イヌに対し何故ロイヤルガードの会合を中断させるのか問いただしたが、彼女はただ意地悪く罵るだけだった。しかしながら、彼女が私の新居の机に置いていたフィナルフィン蘇生に要する秘薬の巻物を盗んだ事を仄めかした事で事態はより深刻さを増していった。私には思いも寄らぬ事だったのだ！呼び止め巻物の返還を求めようとしたが、既に老婆イヌの姿は人込から消え去っていた。
悲しいかな、巻物なしにフィルナフィンの蘇生は絶望的と思えた。しかしながら、我々に今出来得る事は秘薬のひとつであるポイズンゴーレムの核を探す事しかなかったのである。私はロイヤルガード諸君にイルシェナーの謙譲ゲートで合流し精霊の生息地へ向かうよう指示した。この生息地にはゴーレムの毒への抵抗を上回る強力な致死毒を噴出す穴があるのだ。私はこの渓谷の北端へゴーレムを引き込み、転換呪文を試みるよう指示した。ゴーレムが毒穴へ辿り着く事なく機能停止してしまうという失敗を幾度か繰り返したのだが、遂に我々は毒穴に充分近い位置に出現したパラゴンゴーレムの姿を確認した。私が腕を高々と振り上げ力の言葉を幾小節が唱えると、その姿はポイズンゴーレムへと変わっていった。
これは過去数ヶ月を顧みても最も悲惨な戦闘となった。戦闘の最中多くのロイヤルガードが力尽き、その命を捧げていった。しかし、勇ましく最後まで戦い抜いたロイヤルガードたちは遂にポイズンゴーレムを打倒したのである。そして私はポイズンゴーレムの遺骸に歩み寄り、その背に捜し求めていたポイズンゴーレムの核が組み込まれている事を発見したのだ。私は他の秘薬と共にその核を鞄へと収めた。
The next item on our list of reagents to hunt for Finarfin’s spell is a poison golem core. When I told the guard this I heard several chuckles from the crowd. “Golems are immune to poison Sebastian” they said. Oh how wrong they were. I started to tell the guard members where we may find a poison golem when we were suddenly interrupted by Inu the Crone. She was obviously upset at the lack of followers of her and how the Guard decided to favor Grizelda. I suppose I should take some of the blame for that. I had initially invited Inu because I knew she was wise in such things and from Tokuno the crane’s native lands. Grizelda’s more humane approach to getting the toes ultimately won the Guard over though and we must stand behind their decision.
I asked Inu why she was interrupting our guard meeting and she just muttered out some more unkind words. Then things took a serious turn for the worse when she told me that she had stolen the list of reagents needed for Finarfin off of my desk in my new house. I had never expected this! Before I could question or stop her and try to claim the scroll again she disappeared in a poof of lightning.
Alas with no list things were looking grim for Finarfin but I felt compelled that we go forth and seek the reagent we knew was still needed, the Poison core. I told the Guard to meet me at Humility Gate in Ilshenar where we would head south and into the Elemental Arena to seek our golem. This area has pits of foul lethal poison that are strong enough to overcome the poison resistance of a golem. I headed to the north end of this valley and told the Guard to bring me a live golem that I would pull into the poison and cast the conversion spell. After several golems were brought to an early death on their way to the poison pit we finally managed to get a paragon Golem near the area long enough to pull it into the pit. I waved my hands above my head, muttered some words of power and the golem was transformed into a Poison Golem.
This was by far our most horrible battle in many months. Many fell and gave their lives for our mission. The guard fought bravely though and eventually triumphed over the golem. I noticed the Poison Core wedged under his body after he was defeated and grabbed it to take back with the other reagents we have collected.
