春の大掃除 2008 (Spring Cleaning 2008)：
世界中に散らばった4人のNPCが交換対象アイテムと引き換えにチケットを渡してくれます。
NPCの手前で「info」と発言すると、そのNPCが受け取る交換対象アイテムを知ることができます。【5/1追加】
家建築の変更：
このパブリッシュでは安全に家のサイズを変更する機能（→パブリッシュ53に延期されました）と、家建築時の不正行為を防止するためのいくつかの変更を導入します。
家のサイズ変更： 【4/30 -延期されました】
オーナーが家の看板下で「I wish to resize my house」と発言すると、家が解体されます。
家が解体される前に最終確認画面が表示されます。
家が以前存在した場所には、一時間だけ有効なアカウントに結び付けられたエリアが現れます。
そのアカウントの全てのキャラクター（だけ）が一時間の間、そのエリアに家を建築することができます。
解体/再建築の間は、通常の7日間の遅延時間は適用されません。
新しい家は元の家よりも大きいものが建てられるかもしれませんし、小さなものになってしまうかもしれません。周辺の環境が大きく影響します。（※ 看板メニューで「家の配置が正しくありません」と表示されている場合には特にご注意ください）
以下の動作は（通常の）家の解体時と同様です。
ベンダーやベンダーに属するものがある場合には家のサイズ変更を行えません。
家の中のあらゆるオブジェクトは地面に落ちます。アイテムを失いたくなければ、家のサイズ変更をする前に全てのアイテムを必ず片付けておいてください。
複数の旧制度の家を所持した状態で家のサイズ変更を試みた場合、サイズ変更を行った1軒以外は接収されるでしょう。

通常のオフィディアンから"Ophidian Ration"と"Slippery Snake Skins"が入手できるようになるとのことだが、アイテム交換はあくまで期間限定ということで間違いないだろうか。決してこの変更がアイテム交換を恒久的に継続することを示唆しているわけではないとの認識で間違いないだろうか。また、"Slippery Snake Skins"は希少度の高いアイテムであり、450ポイントという認識は不適切に映るが如何か。

Righto, the turn-in will be limited. It just won't end at Pub 53. Pub 53 will introduce more turn-ins and rewards, and that's the last phase.

質問
家建築ツールに使用制限を設けた真意は不正ツール利用者に対する抑止だろうね。不正ツールを使えば次々と家建築の試行が行われ得ていたわけだし、制限時間を設けたことで何もせずにツールを利用する方がより多くの時間を費やす結果とするわけだ。ここで疑問が生じたわけだが、この使用制限はキャラクター単位で設定されるのだろうか。仮に家建築ツール毎に設定されるのであれば、不正ツール利用者はバックパック内に100個の家建築ツールを入れて回ればひとつが使用制限にひっかかっても次の家建築ツールを用いるように設定しておけば制限を免れることになるだろう。

Now there will be a timer, random where no housing can be placed....start script to attempt auto place over and over, use too many times the tool no longer works for a set amount of time.
Question that was brought up elsewhere is that are the tools Charactor bound? Cus a scriptor can have 100 house placement tools in his backpack and once one stops working, script moves to the next.

1. シナリオ1：War of Shadows
このパブリッシュではシャドーロードの軍勢が侵攻を開始し、ブリタニアの辺境に位置する諸都市を脅かし続けることになる。今後のシナリオの詳細は以下の通り。
前衛隊長（Vanguard Controller）
- 恐ろしい軍馬（Dread Warhorse）に騎乗している。
- オブシディアンブレードを振るい、カオスシールドを構えている。
- ブリガンドからナイトメアに及ぶ小隊を率い攻勢を仕掛けてくる。
- 戦闘中の動作には特別なAIが採用されている。
恐ろしい軍馬（Dread Warhorse）：新しい騎乗生物
- ナイトメアよりも恐ろしい力を持つ。
- 野生状態では特殊な範囲毒攻撃を行う。
- 調教状態では主人のために特殊な行動をとる。
- コントロールスロットは3使用する。
オブシディアンブレード（Obsidian Blade）
ライフリーチ: 10%
スタミナリーチ：20%
命中：20%
アーマーイグノア：1%
カオスシールド（Chaos Shield）

このシナリオでは5月中に1週間単位で進展し、前衛隊長が侵攻を行うことになる。それ以外にも次のようなことが起こるだろう。
- ムーングロウにある時の裂け目が塞がれる。
- エセリアル虚空間へ通じる場所が増える。
- 政策が大きく転換される。
- 更に様々なことが起きるだろう。
2. 派閥制度の更新
派閥制度をより参加し易いものにし、活性化させるために幾つかの調整と不具合修正を行った。加えて、派閥制度は「運命の戦士」イベントの進展において重要な役割を担うこととなるだろう。
派閥の規模制限及び均衡維持は撤廃され、各派閥はどのような規模へも拡大が可能となる。従前は200名の上限設定が存在した。
同アカウントから複数キャラクターが同じ派閥へ参加できるようになる。
同アカウントから同シャードの異なる派閥へ所属するキャラクターは持つことができない。
キャラクターの30日間制限は撤廃される。従前は作成後30日間を経過していないキャラクターは派閥へ参加できなかった。ただし、ヤング属性のキャラクターは派閥に参加することはできず、所属ギルドが派閥参戦した場合にはギルドから外される。
派閥選挙には同アカウントから1度しか投票することはできず、同アカウントから1キャラクターしか選挙に立候補することはできない。また、派閥選挙への投票や立候補はキャラクター作成後15日間を経過する必要がある。
派閥脱退に要する期間が7日間から3日間へ短縮される。
幽霊状態で上ることのできない階段が修正される。
アカウント上の制限はプレイしているシャード毎にあり、パシフィックではシャドーロード派に所属し、アトランティックではミナックス派に所属するということは可能だが同アカウント上で同シャードの双方の派閥に所属することはできない。
3. 家建築の変更
今回のパブリッシュでは安全に家のサイズ変更が可能となり、家建築の不正行為を妨げる幾つかの変更が行われる。
家のサイズ変更
- 「I wish to resize my house」と発言した場合は家の看板メニュー上のオプション選択した場合と同様の家解体が可能となる。
- 家の建築されていた場所には1時間アカウントと連動した家建築領域が確保される。期間中であればアカウントのどのキャラクターであっても同じ場所に家建築することが可能である。通常の家解体から家建築までに適用される7日間の建築制限は適用されない。新たに建築する家は周囲環境の許す限り小さくも大きくもすることが可能である。
その他の変更
- 家建築及び家譲渡を行うためには作成後15日間を経過したキャラクターでなければならない。
- 水樽やフィールド魔法等は家建築の障害とならなくなる。
家が腐り落ち倒壊する場合には以下の経過を辿る。
家の倒壊後はランダムな期間、家建築が制限される。
倒壊した後に残る家財は不正ツール使用者から保護されるようになる。
- 家建築ツール（House placement tool ）は一定時間内に何度も使用された場合には再使用に制限時間が生じるようになる。
- 家建築した場合には解体するために1時間待たねばならなくなる。従来は15分間だった。
4. 春の大掃除 2008
光陰矢の如しという格言の通りブリタニアにも再び春が訪れたのだが、屋外で咲き誇る花々の甘い香りを以ってしても戦の残り香を覆い隠すことは叶わない。それは部屋の隅に置かれたチェストに詰め込まれたオフィディアン戦争の武器から立ち上る香りか、あるいは屋根裏に隠してある袋の中に詰め込まれたカースアーティファクトから漏れ出る香りか。
ブリタニアよ！大掃除の時は来た！
- パブリッシュ52では春の大掃除コレクションと報酬第一弾を企画する。
- 4名のNPCが世界各地に散らばってアイテムを収集し、チケットと交換してくれる。
- チケットは新しいコミュニティコレクションの報酬を受け取るために利用できる。
以下の交換対象アイテムと報酬に関する一覧は検証期間を経て変更される可能性がある。特に報酬ポイントについては変更の可能性が高い。また、パブリッシュ53では更に数多くの報酬を追加する予定であり、ネズミ穴のアドオンも含む予定だ。

5. 新しい音楽
ウルティマ オンラインに新規オリジナル曲を4曲追加した。これらの曲は様々な地域と物語を織り成す戦いの渦中で使用される。現状では2Dクライアントをインストールしているフォルダの\Music\Digitalで聴くことが可能だ。

これらの新曲は昨年テーマ「Battle on Stones」の編曲を手がけてくれたMichael Gluck氏によるものだ。
6. 不具合修正
- "the Basket of Herb"を使用し、効果が消える際に10ポイントではなく20ポイントの料理スキルが失われていた不具合の修正
- Explosion Potionはキャラクター転送時などのプレイヤーがプレイモードにない状態で発動しキャラクターの姿を晒すことはなくなる。
- ペットのリリースガンプはキャラクター転送時などのプレイヤーがプレイモードにない状態では閉じるようになる。
- ペット譲渡のトレードガンプが開いている状態でペットを厩舎へ預けることはできなくなる。
- 織成呪文の"Essence of Wind"は攻撃速度・詠唱速度へのペナルティに抵抗されるようになる。
- セキュア設定を"ギルド"にした場合、自身のギルドランクがRoninだった場合には自宅であってもアクセスできなくなる不具合の修正
- Curseの効果が時間が経過しても消えない不具合を修正
- Curseの強化/弱体化アイコンが効果時間を過ぎても表示され続ける不具合を修正

Scenario 1: War of Shadows
This publish introduces the advance forces of the Shadowlords, continually harassing the outlying Britannian cities during this scenario. Below are some details about the events coming up!
Vanguard Controller

Faction Updates
In order to promote accessibility and invigorate Factions, we’ve made several changes and fixed some bugs. Additionally, Factions will play an important role in the Warriors of Destiny plot arc.
Faction size limit and load balancer removed: individual factions can grow to any size.
Previously capped at 200.
Multiple characters from the same account may join the same faction
An account cannot have characters in different factions on the same shard
Removed 30 day character age requirement
“Young” players cannot join factions
“Young” players will be removed from guilds that join factions
One vote in faction elections per account
Only one character per account may run in the elections
15 day character age requirement to run in or vote in elections
Quit time reduced from 7 days to 3 days
Resolved issues with ghosts using stairs
All account restrictions are based on the server played on. You can have an account in Shadowlords on Pacific, and Minax on Atlantic, but not have an account try to be in both factions on the same server.
House Placement Changes
This publish adds the ability to safely resize your house, and implements several changes to prevent house placement exploits.
House resizing:
Saying “I wish to resize my house” demolishes your house as though you’d used that option from the house sign
Places a one hour account-bound placement zone where your house used to be
Any character on the account is guaranteed replacement on the same plot for an hour
Circumvents the normal 7 week delay between demolishes/rebuilds
The new house can be smaller or larger than the original area, as long as the surrounding area can accommodate the change
Changes:
15 day character age requirement to place or trade a house
Water barrels/magic fields/etc will no longer block house placement
IDOC behavior (houses that collapse through decay)
When an IDOC drops, housing cannot be placed on the lot for a random amount of time
Items that drop from the IDOC will have protections against scripted looting
House placement tool will have a cooldown if used too many times in a given time period
Must now wait one hour after building a home before demolishing it (previously 15 minutes)

Ah, how time flies. Spring has come once again to Britannia, but the sweet smell of blossoming flowers outside our homes can’t belie the memories of battles fought long so very long ago. Or is that the chest overflowing with Ophidian weapons in the corner? Or maybe it’s the bag of cursed artifacts hidden upstairs?

General Fixes
Fixed a bug where players that use the Basket of Herbs could lose 20 points of cooking when the effect wears off instead of 10 points of cooking.
Explosion potion should no longer go off and reveal the player if the player is in no play mode (character transfer).
Pet release gump should now closed the moment a player is in no play mode during a character transfer.
Players should no longer be able to stable pets while a pet trade gump is open.
Spellweaving: Essence of Wind. Casting Speed and SSI debuff potency have been flip flopped
Fixed an issue with Ronin not being able to access secures in their own houses if permissions were set to "guild"
The Curse spell should no longer sometimes last past its intended duration
When a monster casts Curse on players the icon should now show in the buff icon tool bar
Fixed bugs where Paroxymus's swamp dragon can despawn if it is killed
Fixes the 2 rare mounts obtained from peerless mobs.
Will no longer be marked as a summoned pet.

Curseの効果が時間が経過しても消えない問題を修正しました。【4/28追加】
テストセンターへのパブリッシュ52の導入は当初の予定を延期して、来週前半（4/29〜）を目標としています。しかし、こちらの記事ではパブリッシュ52でどのような内容が導入されるのかについて、前もって皆さんにお知らせしたい思います！

派閥の変更と不具合の修正：
「派閥参加へのハードルを下げて活気を与えるために、いくつかの変更と不具合の修正を行いました。また、派閥は『運命の戦士たち』のシナリオにおいて重要な役割を果たすことになるでしょう。」
1. 派閥のバランスシステムが取り除かれます。これにより、各派閥への参加制限が大きく緩和されます （これまでの上限は200人）。
2. 同じアカウントの複数のキャラクターが同じ派閥に参加できるようになります。
同じアカウントのキャラクターをシャード内の複数の派閥に同時に参加させることはできません。
3. 作成されてから30日以上経過していないキャラクターでも派閥に参加できるようになります。
“Young”プレイヤーは派閥に参加できません。
“Young”プレイヤーは派閥に参加しているギルドからは除名されます。
4. 1アカウントにつき1キャラクターだけが、派閥選挙に立候補できます。
5. 派閥選挙で投票できるのは、1アカウントにつき1回だけです。
6. 派閥脱退期間が7日から3日に短縮されます。
7. シャドーロードの本拠地にある幽霊が上れない階段が修正されます。
春の大掃除 2008 (Spring Cleaning 2008)：
「ああ、時が経つのは早いものです。ブリタニアにまた春がやってきました。家の外で咲き乱れる桜の花の甘い香りは、昔……そう、とても昔に行われた戦いの記憶を呼び起こします。おや、思い出すのは戦いよりも部屋の片隅に置かれたオフィディアンの武器で溢れかえった箱だったりしますか？ それとも、2階に隠したCursed Artifactのバッグでしょうか？ さぁ、クリーンアップ・ブリタニアの時間です！」
1. パブリッシュ52で「春の大掃除」の第一ラウンドが始まり、収集物に応じた報酬を受け取ることができるようになります。
2. 世界中に散らばった4人のNPCが交換対象アイテムと引き換えにチケットを渡してくれます。
交換対象アイテムをNPCにドラッグ＆ドロップすることで、チケットを入手することができます。
チケットはポイント制となっており、交換対象アイテム毎にチケットのポイントが異なります （例： Ophidian Ration = 10pt, Vanquishingの武器 = 650pt, Berserker's Scythe = 7500pt）。
3. コミュニティコレクションボックスでチケットを寄付することでポイントが貯まり、貯まったポイントに応じて新しい報酬と交換することができます （例： Shirt = 1000pt, Nocturne Earring = 10000pt）。

1. Basket of Herbを使用して得られるCooking [料理] +10の効果が切れる時に、Cooking [料理] スキルが-10されてしまうことがある問題を修正しました。
2. キャラクター転送などで非プレイモードに入っている状態でExplosion Potionを使用されても姿が暴かれることはなくなります。
3. キャラクター転送などで非プレイモードに入ると、ペットリリースウィンドウは自動的に閉じるようになります。
4. 取引ウィンドウが開いている時にペットを厩舎に入れることはできなくなります。
5. Spellweaving [織呪]の“Essence of Wind”の詠唱速度と攻撃速度の減少効果の計算式を変更しました。
6. ランクがRoninであっても、「ギルドメンバー」セキュアコンテナが『自分の所有する家』に設置してあるならばアクセスできるようになります。
7. Curseの強化/弱体化アイコンが効果時間を過ぎても表示され続ける問題を修正しました。

ピアレスボスから入手できる2匹の稀少な騎乗生物を修正しました。

以下はパブリッシュ52で変更を予定している内容だ。
派閥システムの調整
1. " load balancing"の廃止。派閥の発展規模に制限がなくなる。
2. 同一アカウントから同一派閥へ複数のキャラクターを参加可能とする。
3. 派閥脱退に要する期間を7日間から3日間に短縮。
4. 幽霊状態で生じる階段問題を修正。この修正でシャドウロード派本拠地で生じていた問題は解消されるはずだ。
ハウジングシステムの変更
1. 家のサイズ変更に際し、家を倒壊させた場合には一定時間家の再建築を保証するためアカウントと連動するエリアが形成される。
2. 家の建築に制限時間が設けられる。これは家建築に係る不正行為を防止するための修正だ。
交換
侵攻アイテムを交換する。

By now, many of you may have noticed the new banner splashing across the top of the uo.com site, Live Events 2008! I’m especially excited about our plans for this year, and even more so about the event arc we’ve just begun: Warriors of Destiny.
Based off the contents of Ultima V, in which Britannia and the Virtues are utterly betrayed, this event arc ties together many threads from our past and forges a future where order and chaos are pitted once more against each other. Old and new enemies alike are reaching out to ensure Britannia meets her fate.
Everyone will be free to choose their alignments, and I’m sure the loyal Warriors of Destiny won’t be the only group to be titled for their deeds…
Publish 52: The War of Shadows
The Shadowlords, long displaced from the shards of Sosaria, have at last found their way home through the machinations of one dedicated follower. The blackrock detector, a beacon of hope for the government against the insanity gripping the land, instead opened a rift directly to the ethereal void. Nothing could stop their advance: not Kronos, not even the Time Lord himself.
The disparate events of the past -- the rise of blackrock, a needless conflict with the Ophidians, the devastation of Haven and razing of Magincia -- are finally weaving into a tapestry of betrayal. The kingdom is destabilized, chaos reigns, and the conditions ripe for the masters of Hatred, Cowardice, and Falsehood to lay waste to everything Britannia stands for.

. Turn off load balancing between factions; factions can grow to any size

以下はパブリッシュ52で変更を予定している内容だ。

The following changes are slated for Pub 52:
Turn off load balancing; factions can grow to any size

Further publishes will then focus on gameplay bugs, and then enhancements
