メールボックス（Mailbox）とは，コンテナの一種。セキュアコンテナとの差異は，セキュアボックスはセキュリティ設定に応じた人々がアイテムの出し入れを行えることに対して，メールボックスは誰でもアイテムを入れることができるが，回収できる人々はセキュリティ設定に応じて決定されることにある。2009年10月10日に導入されたパブリッシュ61において，12周年記念ギフトとして追加された。

メールボックスに投函できません！
■ 「このコンテナはセキュアにセットされています。」と表示される場合
メールボックスへの投函はメールボックスをダブルクリックするのではありません。 投函はメールボックスにアイテムを直接ドロップして行います。
■ 「このコンテナはセキュアです。」と表示される場合
その家に立ち入ることができないキャラクターは投函できません。
■ 「これはロックダウンできません！」と表示される場合
設置者がメールボックスを通常のコンテナとしてロックダウンしているため、メールボックスとして機能していません。メールボックスとして機能するには、セキュア設定で設置されている必要があります。

何者かがあなたのメールボックスにアイテムを入れると，そのアイテムは送付者が誰であるかを表示します。アイテムはメールボックスから取り出されて短時間は送付者の情報を備えますが，その後削除されるでしょう。
この送付者情報は，皆さんが誰からの贈り物であるかを把握することに役立つのみでなく，メールボックスの機能を悪用するプレイヤーへの対応が可能となる側面も有しています。不適切なアイテムがメールボックスに投函されていた場合には，メールボックスから取り出さずにゲームマスターを呼び出してください。そうすれば，投函したことについて，言い逃れはできないでしょう。

メールボックスの送付者情報は，キャラクターネームのみならずアカウント情報も追跡できるのだろうか。キャラクターネームのみの追跡しかできないのであれば，キャラクターネームを悪用して同名キャラクターに迷惑をかけることになるのではないかと危惧している。

Correct. Whenever someone drops something in your box, the item will track who the sender is. It will continue to do so for a short while after the item has been removed from your box, after which the sender's info will be removed.
It not only allows you to know who gave what but also to deal with people who would abuse this system. So if you are receiving inappropriate items, leave the mail in your box and page a GM. There will be no ifs or buts about who put that there.

Tracks the account, but only displays the character name.

All characters that are not banned from your character’s house can place items in this container.This must be secured to allow other players to drop items.
Only players meeting the security settings of the box can retrieve items from it.
This item will use up to 125 lockdowns in your home when the Mailbox is full.

The difference is anyone can put items in the mailbox, regardless of security settings as long as they are not banned from the house. To retrieve items, the owner can set the security level as he pleases. So if you only want the owner to be able to retrieve the mail, set the security to owner only.
Whereas with a secured container, only the people with proper security can add items to it which also allows them to retrieve items.
With a mailbox, the only way to prevent someone from leaving you something is by banning them from your house. But you fully control who can retrieve the items.
